Details of the day

A new day begins. The trail which leaves the village is a stone-stepped path. The path is rather good and the hiking was pleasant. On the map, it is written that there is a shortcut at Phaliya Gaon (1810 m) to avoid to pass at Muna and Dara. We took it. The shortcut begins near the small bridge. Do not cross it but continue on the path on its right side. We descended near the ricefiels and a moment later we crossed a suspension bridge. At this place the river form a nice place for a cold bath. After that, the ascent was long and quite difficult because of the sun. Some useful pseudo-bench are located all along it.

After this ascent, we were happy to see Muri. This sight is wonderful: the village and behind the mountains! As we left early in the morning to avoid to walk during the hottest hours, we arrived at Muri in the beginning of the afternoon. It’s a good thing, in this way we have plenty of time to rest and to enjoy the people of the village. We were surprised at the dexterity of very young children jumping from small walls. We believe that many parents would be afraid if their child did the same thing. Maybe, we overprotect a bit too much our children.

Here again we found to sleep in a family home. Our host is located at the end of the village near the school. For once, we had the choice for our menu between Dhal bat and fried noodles with vegetables. Without hesitation, we chose the second option. What a treat especially since we ate with the family!

We slept in a single bed on the first floor. Our roommate was a brooding hen.

It is possible to sleep outside Muri. Indeed, the descent towards the river was about 45 minutes through the rice fields. Then there was a great location to put his tent just before the ascent. But it would be very sad to not enjoy moments of sharing with the villagers.
